ION IT Announce new Property Software plans
ION IT has announced plans for the companies’ latest Property Management System entitled Block Owner Control System or BLOCS.
The system will be aimed at Tenants or Leaseholder Associations of blocks of flats and Right to Manage (RTM) companies.
The problem facing these Associations is that the blocks are run by Managing Agents employed by the Freeholder, leaving them left out of the loop and with little control. This means Managing Agents may be able to take advantage and overcharge.
Even where a RTM company exists, it is important to take control of sufficient information so that change of Managing Agents will not present a problem.
BLOCS will be a System to manage Documents, Tenders, Projects, Service Charges and Lease Owner Communication in a wholesome manner so that control is put back in the hands of Lease Owners and their Associations. It will give the Leaseholders the ability to monitor running of the building in an effective manner with critical controls in place.
BLOCS will also be extremely useful for internal communication. Residents and Tenants will be able to collectively discuss views on management in forums and in chat room applications and all members can be kept up to date with tenant newsletters and system emails.
BLOCS can put the ball back in the court of the Tenants Association.
The system will be the third member of the family of Real Estate Management Software from ION IT following the success of ION’s two current Property Management Systems:
- Property I – An Online Corporate Property Portfolio Manager
- Personal Property Organiser (PPO) - A Buy to Let Property Management system for Landlords
